This print features dynamic colors and an exciting composition done for an Italian clothier. Bicker Chic! shows a cool group of bikers with the coats all having different brightly colored linings. Done for the Italian company Bemberg, it is a fun and intriguing departure for Gruau with an explosion of colors.

 
RENE GRUAU (1909-2004)

RENE GRUAU was born ?Count Renato Zavagli-Ricciardelli delle Caminate? in Italy in 1909 of an aristocratic Italian father and a French mother, Marie GRUAU, whose name he took. Rene Gruau made his name in Paris and New York as illustrator for fashion houses, women's magazines, nightclubs and ballet companies.
He also produced stunningly beautiful advertisements for the LIDO, MOULIN ROUGE and BEMBERG. His exquisite flair for style, sophistication and elegant sexy glamour make him an artistic standout. He works are collected and exhibited by the finest art institutions including the Louve in Paris. Ren? Gruau died in Rome in March 2004 at age 95.
